February 2012
On February 23, 2012, the CNLO held a member's meeting at the headquarters of the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC) in Ottawa.

Guest speakers included CNSC Corporate Secretary Marc Leblanc and U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission General Counsel Steve Burns. Marc provided an insider's perspective on the CNSC organization (click here for his presentation slides). Steve spoke about his 30 years as counsel to the NRC, appearing before the Senate Committee without the benefit of privilege with respect to the recent controversy concerning the NRC Chair, and his future expectations as head lawyer to the Nuclear Energy Agency in France.
